The Zhuhai Tram Platform of Line 1, designed by United Architecture Creative Office, is a unique and innovative approach to the traditional bus station platform. This design not only meets the daily functional requirements of a bus station but also incorporates artistic solutions with public interaction.

One of the standout features of this design is the use of LED color-changing ETFE membrane. This membrane changes color to remind passengers of the distance of approaching vehicles, enhancing safety and convenience. Additionally, the smart WiFi system installed in the platform provides passengers with access to various services and information.

The top cover of the platform is made of a special three-layer ETFE structure, giving it the appearance of floating clouds over the city. This design element adds a touch of artistic beauty to the station, making it a visually appealing landmark in the urban landscape.

The realization of this design involves advanced technology and materials. The top pillow of the platform utilizes Germany's 3-layer ETFE structure and special three-dimensional film cutting technology. This technology, first introduced in China, allows for the creation of asymmetrical shapes and larger coverage areas without any wrinkles.

The Zhuhai Tram Platform of Line 1 covers a total area of 2892.5 square meters and was officially opened in August 2017 in Zhuhai, China. The design concept was inspired by the idea of a "colorful cloud" that symbolizes a romantic change and represents both a group of public art islands and interactive carriers with urban public life functions.

This design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
